Fun Weekend
This weekend I went to Atlanta with my pledge class for a pledge retreat. On this pledge retreat the plan was to go to six flags and then see the Constatine memorial which was created in 1939, and if it were not created there would not be any fraternities today. I was very excited but I had never riden on a rollercoaster before. Yes, I am a big guy and got made fun of because I was affraid to do it, but I finally gave in and rode them. I rode five rides and did not throw up, which is very surprising since I even get car sick. What I realized this weekend was that no matter who you are you should try things that you have never done before because you could possibly have the time of your life.

ReplyDeleteAmen! Do you know that I have never been on a roller coaster either? It is on my life list. Next time, I will chaperone the frat trip.
ReplyDeleteCollege specifically and life generally should be about discovery and experiencing the unfamiliar.

Life is about new experiences, I'm glad you tried them out. I find it hard to believe you were scared as well, but at least you can admit and overcome your fears, good for you.
ReplyDeleteDang SKippy Bro! I ues to hate rollercoasters, but now they are my favorite thing in the world. Except when they decapitate people. Thats Sad!
