One Week Till Break
After finally finishing the hardest semester of my college career, I am glad it's over. I have learned so much this semester from Ms. Swan. She has helped me learn to write papers. At the beggining of this class I was better at Spanish than I was at English, and now I am about the same. As I am so ready for this semester to be over, I am not ready for next semester to start. The 19 hours I am taking next semester will be the end of me. I will miss this class a lot especially the fun pack man! I hope everyone has a ver Merry Christmas!

My Comments... AGAIN
I’m going on strike
This would be a good idea until they decide to start eating your dinner every night because of the detail you put into each meal. Just wait, they will come around.
Sincerely Done
I agree, I need a break as well. But my Thanksgiving break will entail me writing an 8 page Criminology paper so I will not get a break. Also, nothing good happens after 1 o'clock so don't feel bad not staying out later.
Man Weekend
This weekend was the Chapter retreat for the Sigma Chi's. As a pledge I had to sleep in one tent with our seven officers since I am the Vice President. The seven of us proceeded to sleep in a three person tent, three of us weighing over 240 lbs. I only got four hours of sleep but it was well worth it, and noone had their phones. During this past weekend we had two huge Fires. One fire we burned a couch and in the other fire we burned a recliner. During the day Saturday we fished, played football, and shot every gun from a pistol to a shotgun to automatic weapons. Great man time. Then Saturday night all 70 of us sat around the fire and told stories, and gave our thoughts of what qualities a great man should hold. It was a great growing experience for a lot of the young members and a great bonding time for everyone.

Comments
Yet again I am at an on campus computer and I can not post my comment and do not have time to figure it out so here are my comments.
To Kelsey S.
Lucky for you to have gotten more sleep, I actually got less sleep. I agree our break should be much longer but it was good and much needed.
To Doors
I completely agree man I was raised the same way. I get keep the door open all the time for people who do not even acknowledge the fact that I am even there, as if I am a door stopper. Makes you just want to hit them.
Fun Weekend
This weekend I went to Atlanta with my pledge class for a pledge retreat. On this pledge retreat the plan was to go to six flags and then see the Constatine memorial which was created in 1939, and if it were not created there would not be any fraternities today. I was very excited but I had never riden on a rollercoaster before. Yes, I am a big guy and got made fun of because I was affraid to do it, but I finally gave in and rode them. I rode five rides and did not throw up, which is very surprising since I even get car sick. What I realized this weekend was that no matter who you are you should try things that you have never done before because you could possibly have the time of your life.

Sluts
Just recently my best frind decided to hok up with my girlfriends roommate and not call her back. Well to begin with we told her not to do it because he wasn't looking for a relationship and she had hooked up with his fraternity "big brother" a week before. The day after it happens she is crying to my girlfriend because he won't text her back and I get put in the shitter because he's my best friend. Then this weekend I found out that she hooked up with another guy in another fraternity. Well she's mad because "she gets used" by everyone. I just want to tell her, no your simply just a slut. Sorry for ranting I just get tired of hearing some girls talk about how guys are sleezy when they are the ones that sleep around.

technology
After this weekend I am tired of papers and tired of computers all together. In the past two weeks my girlfriend and I have had two computers crash. when they crash they took my papers with them and I had to retype a 5 page paper three time while I could have been working on other paper. On average each week I have about three papers due and that is not including my exams. At this point in time I am just ready to get out of my junior year because it will be the worst one I have while I am here at Memphis.

Gun Carrying
Today I went to a class so that I could get my concealed gun carrying permit for when I turn 21 in December. I am a criminal justice major, so at some point in time I will be carrying a gun. One of the main topics in my class today was the fact that you can now carry your weapon into a bar, state wide in Tennessee. I am a guy that is all for concealed gun carrying, but I believe that this is a dumb idea. The law is that you have to be ABLE to blow a .00 to be able to carry in a bar. You won't have to blow unless you have fired your gun though. At that point there could already be someone dead or injured. Not to mention the fact that you will have a gun on you around a lot of drunk people.
Yet again I can't comment on peoples stuff
Im listing my comment here because they won't post.
What's for dinner
I know they stress you out coming from the "Star" of the family because my little brother got kicked out of school twice in a year and a half and it made a huge impact on my parents. Just stick to it and eventually he will get better, or get to a different school where he can change friends. Oh, and I'd cook for you but it would be terrible. Hope this week is better.
5000 Fathoms Deep
That's what's up man. I'm Catholic and went all throughout high school until I Went to Harding University which is Church of Christ and I didn't like how they did things there so when I came back I lost touch with church. I have just recently started going and it makes you feel so much better it's unbelievable. Props to you man congrats

U of M Campus
I don't know if any of you all have noticed but it seems like they are trying to make campus look nicer and more presentable. I used to have friends that would say that campus is way too boring and plain. Friday I am sure that everyone saw all of the tigers on campus and how cool they were. I wish they would keep more of them on campus instead of spreading them around the city of Memphis. Also, the signs on the top of Wilder Tower that actually says the University of Memphis, and all of the new signs outside of each building telling you the building name makes the U of M look more official.

Comments
For some reason it will not allow me to post my comments on certain peoples blogs so I am just going to post them here. If you can help me figure out why that is feel free to give me a hand.
To life Parking
I completly agree with you. Parking is a big hastle on campus and even near campus. I am one of those who has a reserved parking pass which I LOVE. I know waking up every morning that I will have a spot to park in. Others however are not so lucky having to park ways away just to get to class.
To c.flue Fitness Junkie
I am the same way. I've played sports for all my life and working out is a passion of mine as well. A big reason why you feel that you need to work out everyday is because it helps you get away from everything. It helps to reduce your stress. Also, I am one with a short temper, and if I don't work up regularly I find that my temper can tend to get out of control.

Cheaters never prosper
http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2011/sep/08/principal-suspended-in-2009-for-tampering/?partner=popular
After reading this I was thoroughly disgusted with Memphis City schools and the way things are run in Memphis. SERIOUSLY?! Booker T washington school/ Memphis City schools are "turning things around" ??? Cheaters will never win. The comments on this amaze me how people think its an issue of race and try to justify it. Obviously the future educators will not be great for your school- you're giving them fake diplomas! Kiner believes that by doing this she is helping the students get their diplomas, when in all reality she is setting them up to fail at life. Kiner then complains about being singled out with MCS principals changing scores. Well yea you were singled out, you just had the President of America come visit your school for the very things that you were forging. Yea maybe the "kids" deserved to see the President, but I am sure that there was another school just here in Memphis that actually deserved it and didn't fudge documents.

U of M parking and drivers
Depending on what time you have class there is a high chance that you will not have a decent parking spot. Unless if your girlfriend payed for a parking pass like mine. Even though they spent all summer fixing the general parking on central, I am convinced that it is even worse now. When I had to drop off a friend today at the carpenter apartment it took atleast 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot. I had a friend today that had to park on Kearny and walk to campus because all parking spots were taken.
Another big thing that thoroughly pisses me off is the way people drive on campus. It seems like they have no clue what it is that they are doing or where they are going. Most of the student drivers on campus have no respect for other and do not know what the right of way is. On some days I would rather jack off with sandpaper than try to drive around campus. What is wrong with the drivers in memphis?

NCAA Violations
I am going to blog about NCAA violations and how rediculously messed up the system is. Between Mississippi State and Miami there are 18 players that have been suspended in the passed week. There have also been big violations by LSU and Ohio this year already. The assistant coach for Miama has been suspended for providing some of the players with cash, cars, gifts, and prostitutes. He also let them use his yacth and one of his houses to throw parties. LSU has recently been hit with a big suspension of their starting quarterback for receiving over $6,000 in materials from the University.
There are only 15 teams in the top 25 that have not had any arrests or suspensions in the past year, which means there are 10 teams that have violated atleast one rule. A lot of them have violated more than one and with numerous players. All of these violations that have been mentioned are only in College football. This does not even include baseball or basketball. It seems to me that there are not really any coaches or players out there that actually have standards and morals. Even though they get suspended and they have to repay the Universities, what are other ways to keep players and coaches honest?

About Me
A little bit about me is that I have never blogged before and I have no clue what I am doing. I graduated from 2009 and went to play football for Harding University. I played there for a year and then transfered here after a year and started playing lacrosse for the U of M. I am a Majoring in Criminal Justice and Spanish. I am a pledge for Sigma Chi, one of the best fraternities on campus, and my worst subject is English.
