Gun Carrying
Today I went to a class so that I could get my concealed gun carrying permit for when I turn 21 in December. I am a criminal justice major, so at some point in time I will be carrying a gun. One of the main topics in my class today was the fact that you can now carry your weapon into a bar, state wide in Tennessee. I am a guy that is all for concealed gun carrying, but I believe that this is a dumb idea. The law is that you have to be ABLE to blow a .00 to be able to carry in a bar. You won't have to blow unless you have fired your gun though. At that point there could already be someone dead or injured. Not to mention the fact that you will have a gun on you around a lot of drunk people.

I agree that is really stupid. BUT we do live in Tennessee a lot of things are very backwards here. Bars and guns should not coincide.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you. People usually aren't operating with their highest level of wisdom after a few drinks so I it is a bad idea to give people the freedom to carry a weapon in that setting.
